My workout plan at the moment is based on having 5 different days. 3 of the 5 days are weightlifting (based upon modifying P90x).  I find the p90x videos to be helpful in the fact that they make it a little bit more motivational and provide better guidelines than just simply going to the gym for a strength workout.  The only thing I don’t like about the videos are that they are more araeboically based, so I switch that up by doing fewer reps with higher-ish weight.

The other two days I spend doing some type of more cardio-based workout that involves more the outdoors.  In the past, I’ve found it to be pretty boring doing the same damn thing, being couped up in the gym.  So I either go for a hike, 45 minute run, or bike ride (on a road bike for 1.5 hours).  Anything fun to get you out there!
